So, I know you also said this but...that cover!!!! Gorgeous!
I'm going to just put this out there, I LOVED this book even more than Graceling and I think that's saying something.
You are right, you could definitely read this before Graceling, but I think it is nice to do it that the way we did, as then the crossover for that character that is in both books would mean you'd already know their Grace in book 1, which I do think would change things.
Will definitely be buying this series for friends...so good! and am pleased that i've already downloaded Bitterblue so that I can get started on it straight away...again, another gorgeous cover.
I feel like all the books we like have the same sort of thing though, Fire is awesome, as was Katsa...Brigan had me from very early on, as did Po...you know what I mean, it's often the same. Clearly I like this structure of books.
Feel like this is definitely a series I will re-read, and one I will definitely keep an eye out for, so that I can own them myself in paperback too.
