1. Queen of the Tearling - Erika Johansen
So this was a great book to start the year off with, I stayed up late reading it a few days in a row, and that's partly why I gave it 5 stars in the end on Goodreads - I thought about what you said about that helping you decide between 4 and 5 stars ie if can't stop reading it and think is a good measure!
You'll have to borrow it when I see you in a couple of weeks (hopefully), have put aside for you
Some reasons it was so good:
- the characters (expect I'd say this about all our favourite books) and although I love a love storyline was actually refreshing that not much focus on that (in this first book at least)
-also great fantasy world (actually it was a few things about the history of the land etc that were a bit strange for me but overall the world was really interesting to read about, the different values the people had etc)
Was going to write more but was supposed to post this a week ago so ending it here!
